General Features The SI-Encoder option module provides an interface for connecting an AB quadrature encoder to the drive, and can serve as position and speed feedback for the drive. Typical use of this option module is to serve as a speed feedback interface for motor control or to manage a speed as a speed/position reference from a line speed encoder.
Optional module identification
The SI-Encoder can be identified by:
• the label placed on the upper part of the optional module.
• The color code on the front of the optional module: light brown.
SI-Encoder
SI-encoder has an incremental encoder input which enables closed-loop RFC control for asynchronous motors (RFC-A) on Unidrive M600 and an additional encoder input on Unidrive M700.
