SI Safety
The SI-Safety module enhances the safety feature of Unidrive M designed to protect end users. It also increases machine productivity through safety devices that reduce the frequency of machine shutdowns. By guaranteeing the compliance of machines with the strictest safety standards, the SI-Safety module also reduces the cost of building machines by eliminating the use of external safety devices, including PLCs, and thus eliminating any additional bulk.
• Increased productivity: The SI-Safety module minimizes machine downtime with features that allow machines to slow down or shut down, eliminating the need for post-disruption shutdown.
• Improved user safety: Safe Stop and Safe Operating Stop features significantly increase end-user safety, while safe machine operation is ensured by Safe Limited Speed and Safe Limited Position functions.
• Achieved the highest level of safety: The SI-Safety module has received TUV approval at Level SIL3, the highest level of safety for industrial electrical components according to IEC 61800-5-2 functional safety standards.
Flexible programming environment
CTSafePro
CTSafePro unlocks the full safety API functionality of the SI-Safety module. It allows users to combine elements to develop their own safety building blocks to meet the specific needs of more advanced applications.
