SI-Ethernet supports real-time Ethernet (Precision Time Protocol, IEEE 1588 V2), HTTP, SMTP, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP. This module provides quick access to the drive, global connectivity and integration with various network technologies, including wireless.
Features include:
• Real-time Ethernet (Precision Time Protocol IEEE 1588 V2), TCP/IP Modbus, EtherNet /IP
• Network synchronization in less than 1 μs (typically < 200 ns)
• 1 ms cycle time for synchronous cyclic data
• Bandwidth protection with a network gateway that manages non-deterministic Ethernet messages
• Master/Slave and peer-to-peer communication capability
• Addressing based on IP
• Two 100 BASE-TX RJ45 connectors with support for 100 Mbps duplex connectivity via shielded twisted-pair cable, and automatic detection of cable crossing
• Built-in switches allow use of networks in sequence (i.e. daisy-chaining)
• Both ports operate in full duplex mode as a network switch
• Network port activity LED indicator
