The SMARTCARD is supplied as standard with the UNIDRIVE SP.
It is used to easily configure the drive:
- backup of the drive parameters in order to duplicate them in other drives,
- loading of parameters from the SMARTCARD,
- memorization of parameters different from the factory setting,
- storage of a Ladder program.
Only one SMARTCARD can be inserted in the drive, but the user can hold several with different programming.
Saving a set of parameters
To transfer the drive parameters and store them in the SMARTCARD, several solutions can be considered:
- manual and occasional saving of parameters in the SMARTCARD,
- automatic saving of parameters and their modifications in the SMARTCARD, - saving of the drive parameters in the SMARTCARD in order to transfer them automatically to another drive, only by inserting the card.
