Control Techniques' expanded digital I/O, adding 32 high-speed 24 Vdc digital bi-directional I/O points to the drive.
Features
The SM-I/O 32 has thirty-two digital I/O lines, each of which can be programmed as an input or an output, and a 24V supply output (24Vout). If an I/O line that is programmed as an output or the 24V supply is overloaded the outputs are turned off and the 24V supply is disabled. The digital I/O lines of the SM-I/O 32 can be used in two ways depending on the update rate and the number of digital I/O lines required
The SM-I/O 32 can be identified by:
1. The label located under the Solutions module
2. The color coding on the front of the solutions module and the SM-I/O 32 connector type: yellow with a 37-way D-type connector
Setup Parameters
All parameters associated with the SM-I/O 32 can be found in menus 15, 16 or 17. Each of the menus 15, 16 and 17 refers to one of the available slots in which the Solutions module can be mounted. Slot 1 = Menu 15, Slot 2 = Menu 16, Slot 3 = Menu 17. There are only two slots available for Unidrive SP size 0, Affinity, Commander GP20 and Digitax ST; and only one slot available for Commander SK (except size A which has none).
