1768-ENBT/A - Communication Module - ALLEN BRADLEY
This communication module, reference 1768-ENBT/A and brand ALLEN BRADLEY, is a module from the CompactLogix 1768 range.
Characteristics: EtherNet/IP communication module
This ALLEN BRADLEY module is at your disposal to replace your defective equipment and has a guarantee.
The CompactLogix system is designed to provide a solution for machine-level control applications with I/O management, motion control, and networking needs.
The 1768-L43 and 1768-L45 PLCs include a serial port and have a key switch on the front panel allowing you to change the operating mode of the PLC.
When designing a CompactLogix system, you must define the network configuration and component layout in each location. To do this, proceed as follows:
• Select the I/O devices for your DIN rail or panel mount system.
• Define your motion control and drive needs.
• Select the communication modules.
• Select the automatons.
• Select power supplies.
• Assemble the system.
• Select software
For EtherNet/IP communications, you must use a 1768-ENBT or 1768-EWEB module. You can mount up to two of these modules on the 1768 intermodule bus, to the left of the controller. Before you can upload the firmware to the controller via the EtherNet/IP network, you must define the IP address of the corresponding EtherNet/IP module. To do this, you can use the BOOTP-DHCP utility.
The EtherNet/IP network offers a comprehensive set of services for remote control, configuration and data collection. To do this, it uses the CIP (Common Industrial Protocol) protocol overlaying standard Internet protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP. Thanks to this combination of commonly used communication standards, EtherNet/IP networks can manage computer-type data exchange as well as control applications. EtherNet/IP networks also have the characteristic of using standard Ethernet components and physical media. This provides you with an economical solution for equipping your workshops. To communicate via EtherNet/IP, the controller needs a 1768-ENBT or 1768-EWEB module. For each controller, you can install up to two of these modules on the 1768 backplane bus. The software below must be used for EtherNet/IP communications
