SINAMICS V90 is the new member of the SINAMICS drive line, and SIMOTICS S-1FL6 is the new member of the SIMOTICS motor family. Together they form an optimized servo motor system for positioning, as well as speed and torque control. Thanks to its optimized design, the system ensures high servo performance in a cost-effective and simple manner as well as a high degree of robustness. SINAMICS V90 single-axis servo drives

SINAMICS V90 is designed to meet the needs of general-purpose servo motor applications, taking into account the challenges of machine builders and system integrators regarding cost and time to market.

Commissioning the SINAMICS V90 system is simple – essentially, just plug and play. In addition, it has optimized servo performance, can be quickly integrated into SIMATIC PLC control systems and has a high degree of reliability. A seamless drive system is created by combining SINAMICS V90 servo motor with our SIMOTICS S-1FL6 servo motor.

SINAMICS V90 offers internal positioning, pulse train positioning, and speed and torque control modes. With built-in real-time automatic tuning and automatic machine resonance suppression, the system automatically optimizes to achieve high dynamic performance and smooth operation. Additionally, as a result of the high frequency limit up to 1 MHz, the pulse train input facilitates high positioning accuracy.

SINAMICS V-ASSISTANT engineering tool

A PC with the SINAMICS V-ASSISTANT software tool installed can be connected to SINAMICS V90 via a standard USB port. It is used for setting parameters, testing operation, troubleshooting – and has powerful monitoring functions.

SIMOTICS S-1FL6 servo motors

SIMOTICS S-1FL6 are naturally cooled permanent magnet synchronous motors where heat is dissipated across the motor surface. Motors can be simply and quickly installed using full thread, quick release connectors • 3 shaft heights: 45mm, 65mm, 90mm • Torque ratings from 1.27Nm to 33.40Nm

• Rated speed of 2,000 or 3,000 rpm

• TTL 2500 S/R incremental encoders (13-bit resolution) and absolute encoders (20-bit resolution) are available

• Degree of protection IP65, natural cooling

• Optional holding brake

The motors have an overload capacity of 300 percent and can be combined with SINAMICS V90 drives to create a powerful servo system with high functionality. Incremental or absolute encoders can be selected depending on demand. SIMOTICS S-1FL6 motors have a high degree of dynamic performance and wide speed control range and high precision of shaft ends and flanges.
