SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES MC (Motion Control) are part of the SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES product group which is a complete digital frequency variation system for variable speed drives with three-phase motors. The numerous hardware variants combined with various control functions allow optimum adaptation to the most varied applications.
The regulation functionality is established by the software contained in the converter and inverter modules. The SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES product group includes the following control functions:

The Motion Control regulation functionality covers the needs of the servomechanisms. The current vector regulation in conjunction with a very short sampling period allows rapid metering of the current injected into the windings of the motor and thus provides high torque build-up dynamics.
Current regulation is applicable to synchronous and asynchronous motors. The detection of the position of the rotor and / or the speed of rotation can be provided by various types of sensors.
The motion control function is available in both indirect converters and inverters. They are sized for a mains voltage range of 380 V - 15% to 480 V + 10%.
All devices have an extensive basic functional repertoire. It can be extended by software and hardware options offering technological and communication functions. Adaptation to the needs of various applications is thus guaranteed. All control functions are performed by freely interconnectable functional blocks. This freedom of combination provides the flexibility required to adapt the
software to the intended application.
In conjunction with the various dialogue means, the software menus integrated into the devices facilitate commissioning and monitoring of the drives. PC-based tools provide the efficient resources for setup and backup.
