Note for the MOVITRAC' 1100 series:

This series is without output filters. With the use of metal-sheathed cables (as electrical shielding or mechanical protection) the parasitic earth capacitance must not be too great. Therefore, a motor starter cable distance of max. 50 m, for two power cables in parallel (multi-motor operation) max. 20m is recommended.

Cables with shielded separate conductors should not be used due to excessive capacitance to ground. Furthermore, with this type of inverter, the output conductors of several inverters cannot be combined in one bus cable. For motor power cables, only four-core cables without the inclusion of brake control are permitted.

This also applies in principle to MOVITRAC' 1008-231-; for this type the max. motor power cable distance is 100m, for two motor power cable distance running in parallel 50m (multi-motor operation).

Note on the MOVITRACC 1000 series.

For inverters with output filters, i.e. MOVITRAC€ 1006-403/1015-403/1022-403, there are no wiring restrictions.

Step by step operation:

For this, the commands of terminals 41-43 must be used. Switching the mains on and off to control the inverter should be avoided as it overloads the load circuits and fuses at the input of the inverter. It is best to leave the inverter connected to the mains and use the direction and enable inputs (terminals 41, 42 and 43) to control the starting and stopping of the inverter.

Mains connection:

Each MOVITRAC" 1000/1100 must be connected via its own line contactor.

The size of the contactor depends on the phase input current of the inverters (refer to section 5).

Contact rating selection must be AC-3 (per IEC 158-1).

Between de-energizing and re-energizing, a period of time of 3 minutes or more must elapse so as not to overload the input contactor unnecessarily. This does not apply to power down and power up with fault reset.

After powering up the inverter, the self-test routine should be observed. During this period (approx. 2.5 s), no motor control takes place.
