PowerFlex 520-Series AC Drives Specifications
Modular design
• Removable control module and power module allowing configuration and installation to be carried out simultaneously.
• Each drive has a standard control module used over the entire power range.
• MainsFree ™ setup allows you to simply plug your control module into a PC using a standard USB cable and upload, download and flash new drive settings.
• Support for accessory cards without impacting the footprint. (PowerFlex 523 drives support one, PowerFlex 525 drives two)
Packaging and assembly
• Installation can be quick and easy with DIN rail mounting size A, B and C drives. Panel mounting is also available for flexibility.
• Side-by-side Zero Stacking ™ mounting is permitted for ambient temperatures up to 45 ° C, which reduces
considerably congestion.
• An integrated filtering system is available for all 200V and 400V ratings, providing a cost effective device that meets the EMC requirements of EN61800-3 Category C2 and C3. External filters meet the EMC requirements of EN61800-3, Category C1, C2, and C3 for all ratings of PowerFlex 520-Series drives.
• An optional IP 30, NEMA / UL Type 1 junction box easily adapts to the standard IP 20 (NEMA Type Open) product for higher environmental classification.
Performance optimization
• Removable grounding varistors for safe operation when used on ungrounded distribution systems.
• A precharge relay limits the inrush current.
• Internal braking transistor, available on all nominal capacities offering a braking function
dynamic with simple and low-cost braking resistors.
• A jumper allowing switching between an NPN or PNP 24 VDC control increases the flexibility of the
control wiring.
• Double overload regime available for drives with power greater than 15 HP / 11 kW. Normal duty: 110% overload for 60 seconds or 150% for 3 seconds. Heavy Duty: 150% overload for 60 seconds or 180% overload (200% programmable) for 3 seconds for robust overload protection.
• Adjustable PWM frequency up to 16 kHz to ensure quiet operation.
PowerFlex 520-Series AC Drive Advanced Features
