Benefits of SPM
You can create custom high-power systems with mass-produced power modules, while benefiting from their proven reliability and reduced lead time. The IP20 modules, both compact and innovative, are very easy to install and use.
A near-perfect power waveform is achieved by minimizing input harmonics using 12, 18, or 24-pulse rectifiers or eliminating harmonics with a sinusoidal absorption configuration. Control of dynamic loads using a built-in braking module or full control of the energy returned to the network by a regenerative input module. Reduced operating costs by distributing braking energy between the drives through a common DC bus system and returning excess energy to the supply network through a sinusoidal absorption configuration. High-performance motor control, without position sensor thanks to RFC (Rotor Flux Control) mode, with simple parameter setting. Easy familiarization and integration with controls and options common to the entire Unidrive SP range. The SPM range complements the existing Unidrive SP range described in another brochure. Modular SP drive for cabinet mounting: 0.75 to 132 kW.

Electrical design
The products in the SPM range can be used to implement most drive systems. The separation of the power circuit into rectifier modules and inverter modules makes it possible to make configurations that are both rational and compact. For example, this 550 kW four-quadrant test bench driver system includes 6 identical inverter modules in a 2.4 m cabinet assembly.
