MagelisTM dialogue terminals communicate with automation equipment: b Via serial link. b By integration into an Ethernet TCP/IP architecture.

All Magelis terminals incorporate an RS 232 C, RS 422/485 asynchronous serial link.

The use of a protocol, Uni-TE or Modbus, allows simplified implementation of communication with Schneider Electric PLCs.

Third-party protocols ensure connection to the automatons offered by the main providers on the market:

- DF1, DH485 for Allen Bradley PLCs.

- SysmacWay for Omron brand PLCs.

- MPI/PPI for Siemens Simatic S7 PLCs.

- Mitsubishi Melsec FX PLC.

The Advanced panels Optimum (Magelis GTO) touchscreen terminal offer includes:

¤ A range of 8 color touchscreen terminals (TFT technology), available in 5 different screen sizes:

- 3.5”, 5.7”, 7”: 7 Wide and 7.5” (identical front panel size), 10.4” and 12.1”.

¤ A range of 3 TFT color touchscreen terminals available in 3 sizes: 5.7”, 10.4” and 12.1”,

with front panel fitted with a stainless steel frame, dedicated to applications in harsh environments (agrifood and pharmaceuticals) .

Magelis GTO Advanced panels terminals benefit from optimized information and communication technologies, with, depending on the model:

¤ High level of communication (embedded Ethernet, multilink, Web server and FTP, e-mail).

¤ External data medium (SD memory card and USB Memory Stick) for storing production information and backing up applications.

¤ Peripheral management: printers, barcode readers, etc. These terminals offer an excellent level of technical performance intended mainly for use by OEM customers.

Advanced panels Optimum and Magelis GTO terminals are configurable, like all other Magelis Advanced panels, with Vijeo Designer software in Windows XP and Windows 7 environment. The Vijeo Designer software has advanced ergonomics around several configurable windows to quickly and easily develop a project. The Magelis GTO range is compatible with Vijeo Designer in version V6.1 minimum.
