The integrated communication port allows direct access to the Modbus protocol:
• The RJ45 Modbus HMI socket on the front of the Lexium Controller allows you to connect:
- the graphic terminal,
- an HMI Magelis industrial terminal,
a programmable logic controller (PLC),
- another controller,
- the Motion Pro / CoDeSys software workshop.
The Modbus port of the Lexium Controller can be used for the following functions:
• configuration,
• setting,
• order
• monitoring
The Lexium Controller supports:
• the two-wire RS485 physical layer,
• RTU transmission mode.
The speed of the Modbus network is 38.4 Kb / s. It can be configured at 19.2 but this configuration causes limitations of use under Motion Pro / CoDeSys via the serial link.
