Presentation

The Altivar 212 drive is a frequency converter for three-phase asynchronous motors from 0.75 kW to 75 kW.

It is dedicated to the most common fluid management applications in buildings in the tertiary sector (HVAC “Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning”):

• ventilation,

• heating and air conditioning,

• pumping.

Its design is based on eco-energy with an energy reduction of up to 70% compared to a conventional control system.

Environmentally friendly, it meets the RoHS, WEEE, ... directives on environmental protection.

The Altivar 212 is operational as soon as it is powered up; it allows you to achieve the energy efficiency of your building without adjustment.

Optimization of building management

The Altivar 212 drive has been designed to significantly improve building management by:

• simplification of circuits by eliminating valves and regulation dampers,

• flexibility and ease of setting up installations, thanks to its compatibility with centralized technical management (GTC connectivity),

• a reduction in noise pollution (airflow and engine noise).

Its construction variants allow a reduction in installation costs by integrating EMC filters, categories C1 to C3 depending on the model, which has the following advantages:

• reduced size,

• simplification and reduction in the cost of cabling.

The Altivar 212 offer thus makes it possible to reduce equipment costs while optimizing their performance.

The Altivar 212 drive adapts easily to all building management systems thanks to its many functions and the communication protocols integrated as standard: Modbus, METASYS N2®, APOGEE FLN P1® and BACnet®. With the protocols offered as standard and the LonWorks® communication card offered as an option, the Altivar 212 drive is the drive optimized for the building market (HVAC).

SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC is a French industrial group with international dimension, which manufactures and offers electricity management products, automation and solutions adapted to these trades.

Having consolidated its financial base thanks to the arrival of new shareholders and the simplification of its structures, Schneider began its redeployment at the end of the 1980s. Having joined Merin Gerin in the group (1986), the general management embarked on a acquisition strategy, marked by the integration of important companies that will become the core of the current group:

Télémécanique (1988)

Square D (1991)
