637+/D6R22-7-CAN - Servo Controller - EUROTHERM

The 637f drives are to a large extent compatible with pinouts and functions with the 637 Series.
However, when a 637 drive is to be replaced with a 637f drive, the existing application should be carefully checked and tested to ensure full compatibility.

The following points must be checked in all cases and possibly adapted during functional tests:

1. Motor direction setting and limit switch setting (see V6.12 update note)
2. Position setpoints and associated comparison values ​​should be multiplied by 4 (637 with lower encoder resolution)
3. Copy reports in master / slave applications should be multiplied by 4 (637 with lower resolution encoder)
4. Execution of "BIAS" and "PLC" programs 2.25 times faster than with a 637 drive. This can pose potential problems related to time management in case of inappropriate programming (eg timers using NOPs ).
