Technological functions for peripheral intelligence

POSIDRIVE® converters offer a large number of technological functions as standard, allowing intelligent control of MGS system motors or standard three-phase motors from 0.1  to 22 kW.

In automation technology, the typical basic functions

Position, Synchronize and Wind are available as complete programming phrases. Three different options are available for controlling the drives:

-VC: Very dynamic vector control with speed control. Inputs for incremental sensor as standard «An MGS motor becomes an asynchronous servomotor»

-SLVC: Motor control by "sen - sorless vectorcontrol" Good dynamics and precision thanks to sensorless vector control

-V/f: Motor control by specified frequency Allows multiple motor operation.

Frequency-controlled three-phase drives are suitable for the most diverse applications. Market requirements range from inexpensive conveyor drives to precision drives capable of positioning tasks. The objective being to reach in each case the optimum required, it is easy to imagine that converter, motor and reducer must adapt as if they had come out of the same mould. With its product lines, STÖBER ANTRIEBSTECHNIK, system manufacturer, offers you precisely this integral offer.

DIFFERENTIATION WITH FDS 4000

Other functions may be required for drive dimensioning. The following additional features are available with the POSIDRIVE® FDS 4000 series:

• Second additional analog input AE2

• Analog input for current (0 or 4...20 mA)

• Analog output

• Integrated display and keyboard

• Additional technology functionality

• Possibility of extension by optional plates

• Optional encoder wire break identification

• Possibility of energy compensation via intermediate circuit

• 50m of motor cable without reducer allowed

• Power range up to 22 kW

Reference
FAS 4028

In 1934, Paul (*1908, †1983) and Wilhelm Stöber (*1904, †1992) founded a mechanical workshop. Driven by the desire to put their own ideas into practice and optimize things they considered imperfect. This spirit still characterizes the company today.

In 1943, STOBER launched the STOBER variable speed drive developed in-house, and thus revolutionized manufacturing companies.

In 1982, the management of the company passed into the hands of the second generation represented by Siegfried Thiel (*1936, †1990), Ursula Thiel (*1937, †1997) and Bernd Stöber (*1944).

In his role as Technical Director, Bernd Stöber recognized early on the growing importance of electrical speed control for drive technology. For the first time, STOBER distributed frequency converters, servo drives and the corresponding software. The corresponding MGS geared motor system impressed with its modularity and unsurpassed quality.

In 1993, STOBER was the first supplier in the world to successfully connect high-precision planetary gearboxes directly to dynamic synchronous brushless motors.
